CAMPUS DINING
Dig in to On-Campus Dining Options
With UHSP’s central St. Louis location, you’re never more than a few steps away from a satisfying meal or snack whether at our full-service Café, quick-serve favorite Chick-fil-A or any of dozens of delicious options in the surrounding Central West End neighborhood.
Morty’s 1864 Café
Open seven days a week on the ground floor of the Recreation and Student Center, Morty’s 1864 is UHSP’s on-campus dining hall, serving up a variety of freshly-made and grab-and-go options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night snacks. Enjoy made-to-order omelets, waffles, burgers, sandwiches and more. Make your own masterpiece at our well-stocked salad bar. Grab a ready-made sandwich or salad to go. Or sit down with friends for a hot meal made in-house at our grill or comforts stations.
Chick-fil-A
This beloved fast food establishment is located on the ground floor of the South Residence Hall, serving chicken sandwiches, fries, salads and shakes.
Starbucks
Also located on the ground floor of the South Residence Hall, Starbucks is the perfect place to grab a hand-crafted coffee, tea or blended drink, pastry, sandwich or snack.
Meal Plans
What’ll it be today? Let your appetite make the call. UHSP meal plans are accepted at all on-campus, and even some off-campus dining venues. By taking the pressure of shopping and cooking off your shoulders, meal plans help you stay nourished and focused on your studies.
All students who reside on campus are required to purchase a meal plan.
Each meal plan operates as a declining balance account. North Residence Hall residents must purchase, at minimum, the silver meal plan that provides approximately 15 meals per week. South Residence Hall residents must purchase, at minimum, the bronze meal plan that provides approximately 12 meals per week.
You may purchase larger plans or meal money, but unused funds will not carry over to the next school year.
Off-Campus Dining
Known for signature dishes like toasted ravioli, gooey butter cake, pork steaks and thin-crust pizza, St. Louis is home to a vibrant and innovative food culture, with a number of award-winning chefs and restaurants choosing to make their home right here.
Close to campus, students can enjoy a taste of local cuisine at a number of nearby restaurants. Offering everything from quick burgers to sidewalk cafes to fine dining, the Central West End has it all within walking distance. Wherever your tastes lead, hungry students are sure to find a new hangout and discover a new favorite food while exploring some of St. Louis’ most popular neighborhoods and traditions. For a quick meal or staples to enjoy in your dorm room, Whole Foods Market is just three blocks away.
