Our Priority Initiatives

Every gift matters when you support UHSP. Your support allows us to create world-class educational experiences, provide scholarship support, grow research and expand cultural opportunities. To make an immediate impact at UHSP, consider making a gift to the priority initiatives outlined below.

These funds provide day-to-day resources across campus to provide opportunities for current and future students and support for faculty, staff and programs.

The UHSP General Scholarship fund provides financial support to current students ensuring their education remains accessible.

Donors can also establish their own scholarship and customize the award to fit their preferences.

This fund provides exceptional students with financial assistance and opportunities to discover their passions. Students selected as scholars explore their interests in community service, laboratory research, health equity and leadership through experiences outside of the classroom.

This fund provides cash assistance to students in need of financial support due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Contributions may be used to subsidize housing expenses, combat food insecurity and provide assistance for medical expenses.

Contributions provide recognition for student-athletes at an annual sports banquet, establish an endowed scholarship for student-athletes in financial need and help cover the cost to participate in unbudgeted post-season competition.

Held every November, Founders Day is our annual celebration honoring the innovators who founded UHSP in 1864. It is also our dedicated day of giving.

Students, faculty and staff volunteer hours of their time to support the greater community while raising funds to support current and future generations of UHSP students.

I established the Praful and Niru Scholarship in 2007 to honor my parents and pay forward the opportunity I had been given. It is rewarding to be able to give back financially because the scholarship recipients are always grateful for the support. I often think about how earning a scholarship was a turning point for me as a student. I hope that the recipients use this opportunity and their educational experience to make a positive impact on someone else.
